The Poetry, taken from lyrics, that took Joanne Shaw to an audience of Nobel Prize winning authors by age 39.
Compassionate, passionate, Joanne Shaw, diverse
in sound and style, refuses to limit herself to one genre, as
long as she reaches any success in a new one. So far
she has managed to do just that. Her effective lyrics and melodies displayed in
songs she created of folk, blues, ballad, jazz, rock, and "slash
your wrist music", ritch in insight, and political commitment, or
life's wisdom, such as that of Harry Chapan, Buffy Saint Marie, Tracy
Chapman, Bob Dylan, and as well as Celtic, and a bit of Broadway
show tunes and opera. She is similar in sound to Jewel,
Patsy Cline, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Diana Krall, Peggy
Lee.
